​We are exclusively partnering with a large-cap Private Equity firm to build out a Group-level Transformation office for their recently acquired global Industrial Goods portfolio company, which will be responsible for the end to end design and execution of the PE-sponsored transformation programme. This business is embarking on an ambitious high-growth strategy, aiming to quadruple its revenue over the PE lifecycle. To drive this transformation, they are expanding their leadership team and seeking an exceptional Plant Operations Director.
About the Role:
As the Plant Operations Director, you will lead the European workstream, overseeing operations across three key manufacturing plants. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer and working as part of the Value Creation Office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of the Value Creation Plan (VCP) across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of operational strategy across multiple manufacturing plants, driving efficiency and performance improvements.
  • Lead value creation initiatives to enhance productivity, optimize working capital, and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to align transformation efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage key manufacturing KPIs to track progress and ensure sustainable growth.
Key Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic operations roles within the industrial sector, combining both consulting and industry expertise.
  • Hands-on experience at the shop floor level, with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and transformation within complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a results-driven approach to process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German and Italian is a plus.
