We are working on a high impact Lead Data Engineer hire for a Private Equity backed Software/Technology business embarking on a large scale digital transformation.
This hire will own the management and development of Data Engineering within the organisation, reporting to the Head of Data. You will be responsible for building out the Data Engineering function and will play a critical role in delivering platform/ cloud transformations imperative to the future development and scaling of the organisation. This role will also have the opportunity to help develop ML and AI applications in collaboration with the Product team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Advance the data foundations strategy to scale the use of data and analytics across the business, acting as a catalyst for data and analytics to enable the organization to create value
Directly lead large and medium scale transformational internal projects
Engage with stakeholders to develop deep understanding of customer, organizational strategy, and priorities, establishing strategic roadmaps to support the achievement of business objectives
Collaborate with data architecture, data science, analytics, and business intelligence colleagues to ensure alignment and execution of shared objectives, including data source integration and platform evolution
Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience, including hands-on experience in data engineering and data management
Hands on expertise with Python, AWS or Azure, SQL
Cloud and Platform migration experience
