​A global Large Cap Private Equity fund who invest in exciting industries such as sport, SaaS, and disruptive tech, is seeking an Interim Data/Solutions Architect to join their team, supporting the Chief Data Officer. Responsibilities
Opportunity & Solution Identification
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to comprehend current processes and data landscapes.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Data Officer and Senior Business Analyst to align on strategic vision, opportunities, and goals.
  • Identify opportunities for "standardisation and industrialisation" via data and technology.
  • Recommend technological solutions to address identified opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide expertise on the technical feasibility and implications of proposed solutions.
Data Mapping & Ownership
  • Develop a comprehensive data map outlining data sets, their relationships, ownership, and other relevant metadata.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in data ownership and propose strategies to address them.
Solution Design & Recommendations
  • Translate business requirements and challenges into actionable technical solutions, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
  • Design technical architectures and solutions aligned with business needs and technological trends.
Data Governance & Best Practices
  • Advocate for data governance best practices across the organisation.
  • Provide guidance on data management, quality, and security to ensure organisational compliance and optimal data usage.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Data/Solutions Architect, experience in strategy-focused roles is preferable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data landscapes, technologies, and business process optimisation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical design skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in current data architecture principles, practices, and tools.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear manner.
  • Bachelor's degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent, with a STEM background preferable.
