Operating across three lines of business, company generates €20 million in revenue. Recently carved out by a Private Equity sponsor, this business unit was previously part of a larger services company. They are now on a journey to build a fully independent, high-growth organisation with best-in-class internal IT capabilities.
Job Summary:
I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of IT to establish and lead the internal IT function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), you will be responsible for all aspects of internal IT, including systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT policies. You will play a crucial role in the transition from a parent company, overseeing all technology workstreams related to the carve-out, and leading the implementation of key systems like ERP and CRM. This is an opportunity to build and shape the IT function in a high-growth, PE-backed environment with potential future responsibility for cloud operations as the business evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Function Setup and Leadership:
Establish the internal IT function from scratch, designing and implementing the necessary systems, processes, and policies.
Lead the migration of all technology workstreams from the parent company, ensuring a smooth transition.
Develop and maintain robust IT infrastructure, including devices, networks, and systems.
Implement and manage enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and other critical business applications.
Cybersecurity and Information Security:
Own and manage all aspects of cybersecurity and information security, ensuring the protection of company data and systems.
Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Continuously assess and mitigate IT risks, implementing necessary safeguards to protect the organization.
Vendor Management:
Select, manage, and collaborate with third-party vendors to deliver IT services and solutions.
Optimise IT costs while ensuring high service levels and scalability.
Oversee contracts and relationships with service providers, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Strategic and Operational Leadership:
Provide strategic direction for IT initiatives, aligning them with overall business goals and growth strategies.
Lead the selection and implementation of key enterprise systems (ERP, CRM) to support business operations.
Support M&A activities, integrating acquired entities into the company’s IT infrastructure.
Over time, take ownership of cloud operations as the business transitions towards cloud-based solutions.
