Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Responsible for planning, assessing, analysing and coordinating Company’s business plans and programs related to its businesses or activities.
Ensure the Company adheres and aligns to plans and programs set by the Government.
Support operations of rail and bus via analytics, forecasting models and benchmarking in ensuring reliability of its core services.
To manage and maintain asset register for all operational assets of the Company, including physical assets and land.
Plan company's programs strategically based on approved business plan and ensuring parties are aware of their roles and responsibilities in achieving the Company’s goals.
Drive decision-making that creates medium and long-term improvement and establish and review key strategic priorities and translating them into a comprehensive strategic plan.
Keep abreast of economic movements externally and liaise and maintain with external related parties and agencies so that the Unit is kept abreast of any economic changes and is able to respond and adjust its strategies accordingly.
Construct forecasting model for business decision making process.
Ensure accidents, incidents, near misses and other risky occurrences related to core services of rail and bus, are investigated and acted upon in a timely manner and with each root cause analysis concluded and to ensure that any recommendations/findings are implemented.
Provide strategic inputs for both operations and asset development on capital expenditure requirements that meets the objectives of operations and ensure return on investment. Provide technical inputs and guidance during any lifecycle phase to ensure system reliability and usability.
Coordinate Working Committee on Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety of Operations and coordinate Failure Review Panel for the Company.
Oversee and monitor all group assets are well taken care off by the respective asset custodian or department in charge in term of management, maintenance, performance and optimum use of the assets. Accept, verify and coordinate new asset creation / registration to company's book via Fixed Asset Register (FAR) with registered asset category
Transformation
Lead the company-wide transformation strategy, including identifying and prioritizing initiatives, setting objectives and KPIs, and creating an implementation roadmap.
Ensure the transformation strategy aligns with the company's overall mission, values, and long-term goals.
Create a culture of transformation across the organization, promoting continuous improvement, innovation, and change management best practice.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to cross-functional teams responsible for executing transformation initiatives.
Identify and implement effective change management strategies to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of new processes, systems, and tools.
Oversee the development and implementation of communication and training plans to ensure all employees are informed and prepared for transformation initiatives.
Leverage data analytics and various metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree holder
Minimally 15 years’ experience related to transformation, planning, strategy, finance, engineering or operations.
Extensive Programme Management/Project Management/Strategy and Transformation. functional experience
Strong analytical skills.
