A global mid-market private equity fund who predominantly invest in energy, healthcare, sports, and technology is seeking an Interim Business Analyst to join their team, supporting the Chief Data Officer. Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification & Analysis
Working cross-functionally, identify current processes, challenges, and operational needs.
Analyse operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for standardisation and industrialisation through data and technology.
Collaborate with the Interim CDO and Interim Data/Solutions Architect to align on strategic goals.
Assist in prioritising opportunities based on potential impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Project Management
Support the Interim CDO in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Contribute to the development of project plans.
Business Case Development
Support the development of comprehensive business cases, highlighting ROI, benefits, and potential risks.
Support preparing and presenting materials that articulate the value proposition of initiatives to managing partners and other decision-makers.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect and analyse data to provide insights on business operations and advise on where to improve.
Generate regular reports and updates on project progress, potential risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Assist in the creation of comprehensive dashboards and reports that provide valuable insights to senior management, particularly the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Utilise your SQL expertise to extract and manipulate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Requirements:
Proven experience in building dashboards and delivering impactful reports to senior stakeholders, ideally including the CFO.
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Adept at working cross-functionally to gather requirements and implement data solutions that align with business objectives.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with teams across the organisation.
Adaptability and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working alongside an Interim Chief Data Officer from a consultancy background. Prior experience within the private equity.
Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Bachelor's degree from a Russell Group university, preferably in a STEM-related field.
