ROLE OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Managing Director to oversee our client’s valuation practice. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of valuation professionals, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service, and driving the growth and success of their valuation practice. Your expertise in valuation, along with your strong leadership and business development skills, will be instrumental in achieving the firm's strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and execute the overall strategy and vision for the valuation practice in alignment with the firm's goals.
Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of valuation professionals.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, professional development, and high performance.
Client Engagement and Business Development:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored valuation solutions.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand the client base, and drive revenue growth for the valuation practice.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market developments to anticipate and address clients' valuation challenges effectively.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee the delivery of valuation services, ensuring high-quality and timely completion of engagements.
Review and provide guidance on complex valuation analyses and reports, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Develop and enhance valuation methodologies, tools, and processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Development and Management:
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the valuation practice, fostering a high-performing and motivated team.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members, promoting their professional growth.
Establish resource allocation plans, monitor workload distribution, and ensure optimal utilization of team members' skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in valuation, preferably in a leadership role within a reputable economic or litigation firm.
Strong expertise in various valuation methodologies and techniques across different industries and asset classes.
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements (SEC, IRS, etc.) related to valuation.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a valuation practice, including business development and client relationship management.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of valuation professionals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and industry experts.
