Our client is an established international financial institution looking for an Asia Head of Strategy to join their team based in Singapore / Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the company's insurance strategy in the Asia region, with a focus on expanding market share and profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategy consulting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and insurance industry expertise.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive insurance strategy for the Asia region that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the insurance industry
Lead and manage M&A activities, including identifying potential targets, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deals
Provide guidance and support to the insurance business units in the region, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy
Collaborate with other departments and functions to ensure that the insurance strategy is integrated with the company's overall strategy
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the insurance business in the region, and make recommendations for improvement
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and provide thought leadership on insurance strategy in the Asia region
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA preferred
At least 12-15 years of experience in strategy consulting, with a focus on the insurance industry
Strong understanding of insurance industry dynamics and trends in the Asia region
Proven experience in leading and managing M&A activities, from target identification to deal execution
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically and creatively, and to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve results
