Client Information
Our client is a global industrial technology and aerospace manufacturer, who have recently been acquired by a large-cap Private Equity firm. Following its acquisition, the business is undergoing a group-wide strategic transformation to unlock significant operational and commercial value, in partnership with the PE sponsor. As part of this effort, a Value Creation Office (VCO) has been established to drive end-to-end business transformation.
Role Summary
The SIOP Director is a critical role that will play a key part within the PE-sponsored value creation programme, with overall responsibility for implementing and optimizing integrated Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes in order to enhance supply chain agility and operational resilience.. The SIOP Director will play a key role in balancing supply with customer demand, ensuring resource optimisation, and driving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of a best-in-class SIOP framework to align demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning across global operations.
Utilize data analytics and forecasting tools to drive informed decision-making, mitigate risks, and optimize inventory control.
Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to streamline planning processes, ensuring seamless coordination across functions.
Develop and refine workflows to proactively identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks, enhancing efficiency and scalability.
Drive change management initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including the Chief Transformation Officer and the Portfolio Performance Solutions team.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
15+ years in SIOP, supply chain, or operational leadership roles within industrial manufacturing, preferably with experience in private equity-backed transformations.
Expertise:
Strong background in demand planning, inventory optimization, and production strategy.
Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics tools for forecasting and risk management.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, drive organizational change, and deliver measurable operational improvements.
Industry Knowledge:
Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.
Location:
Willingness to be based in Europe with regular travel to DACH/Southern Europe.
