Job Description:
The company are seeing a Head of Data Engineer to lead an accomplished data team and play a pivotal role in shaping their data infrastructure. As the Head of Data Engineering, your responsibilities encompass designing and executing data solutions, ensuring data accuracy and reliability, and spearheading a talented cohort of data engineers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Exercise leadership and oversee the data engineering unit, offering guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support.
  • Conceive and put into practice data pipelines and architecture to underpin our data-driven undertakings.
  • Guarantee the precision, consistency, and security of our data through the application of best practices and rigorous data governance.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Leverage your adeptness in Snowflake and DBT to refine data processes and workflows.
  • Capitalize on your extensive background in credit to devise data solutions tailored to our industry.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry developments and technologies to perpetually elevate our data infrastructure
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and DBT is an absolute requirement
  • Substantial experience in credit or a closely related financial services sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree is preferable
  • A solid track record in leading and managing data engineering teams
  • Proficiency in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
  • Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration proficiencies
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
